According to Volvo VADIS - the now-superseded Volvo dealer parts and maintenance database - the obstacle to a steering rack interchange - KOYO to CAM - is not only the oil lines. On the CAM unit the same: the long one is Part #1387462 and the short one is Part #1387471. On the KOYO unit, the long one is Part #6819459 and the short one is Part #6819456.
Another obstacle is the lower steering shaft and the lower universal joint. The diagram shows two versions for these parts. One version of the lower steering shaft - Part #3516087 (about $210 at a Volvo dealer) - was used on 740s, 760s, 940s, and 960s, from 1988 through 1998. The other lower steering shaft is shown on the diagram, but the Part Number is not given in the parts list, which pertains to that diagram.
The diagram shows these parts have different formats. That suggests that to put a Koyo rack in a car that came with a CAM rack, the lower steeting shaft and the lower universal will also have to be switched. The upper steering shaft seems to be identical.
Perhaps someone, who has done this swap, can give more precise advice.
