Installed new AMM, '88 240 still dies right after starting 200

Which system does your car have? If it's the LH 2.2, then the O2 Sensor is suspect as well. The AMM reads the signal from the 02 sensor to adjust the air/fuel ratio. You need to check the O2 sensor, and if it checks bad, then replace it, so the AMM can do its job. I routinely check the mixture on mine, and occasionally have to tweak it a touch to keep the fuel economy as high as I have it set.
