aftermarket in tank fuel pump? and sending unit. 200 1988

I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $ to go with the bosch in tank fuel pump or just get a 40$ aftermarket one?

I've decided to get the VOD fuel sending unit since it's 40$ more on FCP groton, unless anyone objects.

It's for an 88 240 with 125K.

Also, how do you reattach the return hose to the sending unit?

I hear it needs to be heated to shrink the plastic to make a good seal but am nervous doing this around fuel.
