1989 740 8 valve no spark 700 1989

Yesterday all was good. Today no spark.

Here's what I've done so far. Bosch system.

No spark out of coil.

Checked voltage at both sides of coil, not cranking. 12V. When cranking, test light dims, but no flicker on power stage side.

Swapped power stage with known good part. Still no spark. Tested donor car with power stage from no start car. Car starts. That eliminates the power stage.

Ran diagnostics. Got a good return on the RPM sensor test.

Conclusion. The test notwithstanding, the RPM sensor is bad. Or the coil is bad.

Any other thoughts? By the way, does the 740 have a 26 amp fuse in the engine bay? Or does Fuse #1 in the tray serve that purpose?
