Steering problem fixed! 200

I was experiencing some driving issues lately, notable a lot of sloppiness at highway speeds and too much play in the wheel. Fearing that it was inner tie rods which I have never done before, I took it in to have it looked at, and they found that the mounting bolts holding the rack to the crossmember were loose! They tightened them and the steering is back the way it should be. A much cheaper fix than what I feared. I hope this helps anyone experiencing loose steering in their cars- check the rack mounting bolts (they are shaped kind of like exhaust u-bolts).
