Brake Junction Leak - How Urgent ?? 700 1988

Hello . About a week ago I wrote about my 1988 740 GLE wagon having a leak at brake junction. I was advised to replace this whole junction block/part. A real PITA job which I have not done before. Thinking it would take me 1/2 to full day to do. Was quoted $400 to $450 by local mechanic to do. Part is just $100 from FCP so I would save a lot doing it myself plus I do prefer to do my own work. Thing is I just don't have the time to do it right now. Hopefully will have time in 2 to 3 weeks. Can it wait that long ? I have noticed it leaking for about 2 months now. It loses/I add about 2 ounzes every 2 weeks or so. So can it wait ? Is it urgent ? What could happen ? Should I since I don't have time right now pay mechanic to do it ? Thanks for help/advice.
