Fan Clutch replacement 200

1990 DL 240 wagon B230f engine.

Not a problem post, just an observation. Today, I replaced the fan

clutch. I noticed the other day the temp gauge started climbing while

standing in traffic. I have scoured the web, and it appears the only

reliable way to diagnose a failing fan clutch is substitution. Whn spun

it acted not very different from the original unit. When I test drove the

beast, the AC worked better, right off the bat. I live in the state

Georgia, so I opted for the tropical version, the temp gauge has yet to

get to the 1/3 point. It was an easy install. So if yours is the orginal

like mine, it might be time. Just in case thanks to all who have

responded to my posts.
