Crburettors 140-160 1972

I agree with all the prior posts in support of the SU over the downdraft. I bought my 1970 142S three years ago and it had the Weber DGV. Jeff Payla (PalTech) supplied me with a rebuilt twin SU (HS6) set-up and it is like night and day. The SU delivers much better performance, reliable starting (both hot and cold), and superior gas mileage. Jeff's carbs are polished and look as if they have just come off the assembly line.

Jeff is convinced that he can deliver better performance from a set of twin Strombergs. I have a tough time believing that, but he certainly has more expertise than I.
