Wheel looseness + clunking

My '82 245 has about 235k on it and is showing some play in the right wheel. I can see the tie rod moving when I wiggle the right wheel sideways. The left wheel seems okay. When the car is on jack stands, trying to wiggle the left wheel ends up moving the right wheel noticeably. I think it's probably a bad inner tie rod end on the right side and am planning to replace all the tie rod ends. Is there anything else in the steering that should be checked closely in a car of this mileage? I tend to corner hard.

I've also started to hear an occasional clunk on the right front side of the car when turning or driving at lower speeds. Could this also be caused by a bad tie rod end?

Thanks for your help!
