Best coolant for aluminium?

Ive been doing some reading latly, and all sources say the the typical green coolant is the worst type for an aluminium componeted engine. Its nature of being too caustic can result in parts looking like 'swiss cheese'?!

Eckkk. Im currently trying to deal with a cooling/overheat/irregular engine issue, and judging by my last flush and refills choice to go with the pre-mixed green 'flavor' Im starting to maybe realize my mistake.

Can anyone confirm or disway this recent discovery I've made?

Should I open up the head and see what kinda damage has acutally been done?

Immediatly flush and fill with the proper coolant?

Ya'll probably know best. Oh, heres a relivant link to these issues.
