It fell off and I ran it over! (right front turn signal assembly) 900 1992

A year ago I replaced the right front turn signal assembly. I though someone had stolen it but it probably fell of also. The replacement one fell of yesterday and that must have been the thing I didn't see in the road but heard the noise as I ran it over. This time it took the socket and bulb with it.

So what is the trick to making the replacement stay on? When I put the one in a year ago, I was so pleased that it seemed to just snap in place.

Right now it looks like a missing tooth!
