95 940 trans issue

We were getting ready to take my sons 95 940 back to school and I was doing the regular maintenance and which included a tranny flush and I did change the tranny mount, also the oil was changed and vacuum hoses etc. I had noticed previously that in the morning it would take a little longer than I thought to shift out of 1st gear, now that I think about it. We drove it 500 miles did an overnight and it would not shift out of 1st for a least 10 minutes the next morning , but after that would run 500 miles problem free with it downshifting and upshifting appropriately. I stopped and put a few ozs of seafoam in it for the last 250 miles with seemingly no effect. When we would stop at a light or similar it would thunk a little sometimes, and sometimes the transmission would spin for a second and then catch, and then be fine. It almost operates as if it were out of fluid when it acts up but I have checked it over and over again > The fluid is still red and fresh. I also added 6ozs of auto rx to the tranny and have run it for 300 miles with no change. Should I have them flush it or is this one a gonner. The car has 89k on it. Thanks for your input as I am not sure as to how to proceed at this point.Flush, rebuilt used etc. Thanks again 95940 89k, 87 240 200k. 62 240 90k, 96 960 89k.
