transmission mount

I have a 95 940 non turbo 89k miles. I replaced the transmission mount which was flattened and am now experiencing a non shift from first when it is cold . it eels like it is low on fluid. Could this be related. Thanks for your advice . The transmission problem happened almost immediately.thanks again.
