240 Turns over, but does not catch after I installed intank pump 200 1990

Hello again my old friends,

1990 240 began to stall on hot days and since a simular problem
was solved on my 91 with a new intank pump, I decided to install a
intank pump on the 1990 also.
Upon removing the sending unit from the tank I realized that it
was in bad condition and I got a replacement at the pic and pull.
I installed the new pump and sending unit this morning and a new
battery since the one in the car was giving out.
Now the car won't start, it turns over and wants to start but does
not catch.
Previously I could hear the main fuel pump start working as soon
as I turned the key, but now I don't hear it when I turn the key.
I have jumped fuse 4 and 6 and can hear the pump(s) running and at
the same time turn the key but no catch...

Any advice is appareciated.
Joseph
