Ditto 200 1993

a) Replacement airbags are easy and cheap to find. If you need one, you probably needed it.

b) Easy to install, but you must be careful of any clockspring work. Airbags must have electricity to deploy. Disconnect the battery to install one.

c) I've seen a lot of Volvo 240s and 740s with blown airbags, and none had a broken windshield from the airbag.

The SRS module in a 700/900 series is under the driver's seat. They must see significant impact to set the airbag off. My wife hit a deer at about 65 mph in our 1993 944T. There was no airbag deployment. Shopping carts against the front bumper don't set off a Volvo airbag.
