Electrical symptoms, where to start 200 1980

The car is a 1980 245DL M46 with 295k miles (I've replaced the main engine harness with the updated Volvo harness a while back). When I turn on the turn signals, the electrical load noticeably alternates with the turn signal light: light on causes a dip in the headlight brightness (if on), radio goes to static, and the fuel pump tone changes. If I have the headlights on, the radio also tends to go to static. When I shift into 4th gear, the OD light in the cluster glows dimly (the car does not shift into OD though until I slide the switch). Sometimes the wipers don't work at all on the intermittent setting (new meaning for intermittent wipers) but always work in the low and high settings. These may or may not be related, I'm looking for any tips on where to check more specifically than just "check all grounds" - is there something that relates all these symptoms? Thanks -
