OBD error in FAQ? 200 1992

This morning I continued my pursuit of learning why my SRS dash light stays on, fixing the fault and getting the light out.

I know OBD "reader's" LED light is working, yet I kept getting absolutely no A-B-C code. I removed the reader from the driver side strut tower to clean contacts. I had noticed that when the probe was inserted into #5, the probe would wobble a little. FAQ says to use #5 and that's the error. There are no wires from the harness going to #5 position. There are only four wires: White (#6), Blue (#4), Green-Black (#2) and Brown-Black (#8). So I went to Bentley, page 390-64 to read the wiring diagram. Had to use a magnifying glass! It confirmed the wiring.

Not certain which of the two obvious choices to use, I picked #6 - White leading to the ICU I think. Then I attempted the code reading procedure again. I got a code: 1-1-1. Glad to get a code and nice to see this one, but I was expecting to get one related to the SRS.

So, questions:
1. Is FAQ in error as far as '92-'93 240's go?
2. Did I in fact choose the correct probe contact, #6?
3. Since I got 1-1-1, should I assume that I have no SRS fault in spite of the SRS dash light that won't go out?
4. And if there is no fault, how do I get the light out?
5. And if I don't have a SRS fault, can I assume I have a crash safe car whose airbag will properly deploy when caught in a head on collision? (What a leap in faith!) In other words, check this off my list and move on.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
