Center armrest installation questions for my 245 200

I bought a center armrest for my project 245. I removed the bolts that were in the holes where the armrest mounts into the floor. Are these bolts the same ones I use to attach it? I can't seem to get them to go through the carpet and catch a thread in the hole. Should I have gotten 2 longer bolts with the center armrest I bought? If so, then could I get some from a fastener place or do one of you have a spare set? Thanks, Charles
