86 760 engine swap 700

I have a fairly nice 760 wagon that I would like to keep as a spare car. It has 180k on it and last year the head gasket went. It has been sitting since then. Mechanically it is in good shape and I found new ninovats for it last year. Today I found someone with a 85 or 83 240 wagon and I could have the motor and trany cheap. The head is off his motor and I can not feel any ridge on the wall. The car condition indicates that it could have reasonable mileage and care. I would like to take the short block and trany and put them in my car and get rid of my turbo and automatic. I would use my head off my 760. The parts car has the EZ electric ignition with the side distributor. I would have to get an ECU to match this or go to my rear cam distributor? I would have to install a clutch petal and I assume that is an unbolt from a standard 760 to my car? I would have to shorten drive shaft? Change the consol etc. My power steering pump is mounted on right side low and parts car is left side. Is the 230 block the same and I would change the brackets holding the accessories or am I missing holes or mounting points on the block.

What I am looking for out of this is a car that is as reliable as my first volvo a 1977 240. No fancy stuff and no turbo. Just something I could keep around and use. Also we do not need the car and the work can be done all winter in no hurry. Thanks for your input.
