size of rear caliper pistons 900 1993

I have a 1993 940 turbo wagon. I was doing brake work and found one of the pistons on a rear ATE caliper not free; I cleaned it up put in new seals and dust cover. Went to check the other side (just to check the condition of that one too) and to my surprise it has a different sized piston!
I know this is not good of course and plan on replacing both with remanufactured ones; my question is , what size piston is correct?
based on the FAQ for 700 series, the answer is probably 40 mm but would be interested if anyone can verify that for me.
thanks
andrew,
