RPM Sensor Ohms Reading 700

Mine tests at 177 ohms. FAQ says 160 ohms but also states:

"Check all 3 terminals for resistance or an open circuit. The new sensor measured about 160 ohms between the center lug and a side lug."

This is a shielded connection. Only two wires should be providing a resistance reading...#1 (blue)& #2 (red). #3 (black) is the shield. It has no physical connection to the others, just ground. It would always show open so I do not trust this info.

Additionally my manual states it should read 215-265 ohms at room temp (about 65 F here right now) or 280-300 ohms with a hot engine. If this is the case the resitance on mine is about 100 ohms too low.

Anyone care to elaborate on what their sensor reads?
