Finally got an estimate to bend a new field and rebuild a 47 year old starter - everyone sitting down? $275

Humm not worth it especially if your local shop has a slew of them on hand. No worries to Frankenstein a good one from a couple of spares. Nice thought to have the field that is wrapped in paper restored just not sure it is worth it. Since I am in no hurry to get it done I will wait until later in the year to decide what to do. May be I will get the motorcycle up and running it just needs a new top end and it is only 30 years old.
