Fuel Rail update 900

There is a description of the procedure in the faq under the category of fuel injector maintenance. Click here to see the writeup for removing and replacing the fuel rail.

It's been a few years since I replaced the fuel rail on my 960, but I seem to recall a couple of things to be aware of:

One is that there are really small washers / o-rings that fall out when you disconnect the assembly. Watch out for these.

You'll want to relieve the fuel pressure, or at least be prepared for some spillage.

When loosening the couplings, always use a second wrench to provide counter-torque so you don't twist off a fitting.

There are a couple of ground wires that will need to be disconnected. I've experienced some strange electrical problems that were eventually traced to corroded grounding points. This would be a good time to remove corrosion and clean the ground connect points under the fuel rail.

Other than that, it's a fairly straight-forward job. Good luck, and post back if you get into trouble.
