Fuel Rail update 900

I had my Indy mechanic change the fuel rail to the new style on my 2nd '96 965 a couple of years ago. I believe the link referred to in an earlier post is for red block cars. Here's a link that addresses 960/S/V90 issues. At the time I contacted Volvo customer support by phone and discussed the fact that with Volvo continually tooting their on horn about safety that I thought a problem like this should be addessed by the factory but they weren't interested! I suppose if they admitted liability they be opening the doors to possibility of product liability suits!

I now have a '98 V90 199120 Kmi. with the old style rail, thankfully it hasn't started leaking yet but most likely will!

Good Luck,

Tom Heitzman

PS The previous owner of the aforementioned '96 965 had fixed the leak with JB weld and it held for a couple of years. Might work for you but I wouldn't do it myself!.
