What do bricksters think of the V70XC? Reliable or not? S90-V90

Hi fellas,
We have been mostly a 240 family for years. I currently have five 240's, one being for parts. I just had a wreck and totalled my '04 Explorer. Gone. God bless airbags. We are fine. We are an all Volvo family now. But now I am considering going with a pre-owned V70 XC somewhere around 1998 to 2002 model and hopefully around 100,000 miles on it. There are quite a few around these parts for sale. What is your opinion of these cars. Money is an issue and I don't plan on spending a bunch. Are these reliable? What issues do they regularly have? I like to work on my own cars and I know there is more computerized #@%&* on these cars that I will not be able to do much with. I also may have the opportunity to go with the tamer V70 Special Edition, which is front wheel drive only and with no turbo power. I have not driven one of these yet and my 6'6" frame will determine alot. No head and leg room, no car. I welcome all thoughts and opinions as a fellow loyal brickster. Thanks ahead of time. JG
