Overdrive Solenoid? 200

Hey guys.

I have an 84 245 with an AW70, and my overdrive isn't working.

Pretty sure it's not the relay (I hear a click when I hit the OD OFF button and the dash light comes on as it should). I've also redone the wiring from the switch to the solenoid.

Here's the problem: After about an hour or so of freeway driving, albeit 55-mph in 3rd, the overdrive will engage.

Does this sound like I have a bad solenoid? Pretty sure it's the original unit- the dust boot is cracking a bit on the top.
