Bulb failure indicator hell 200 1985

Hi Howard,

You are so close. The problem is almost certainly in the harness and grounding at the headlamps.

Prove it to yourself by unbending a paperclip and backstabbing alongside the fat blue wires into the bulb failure sensor's socket, shorting them together, and effectively equalizing the currents through the two sensed paths. The idiot light should go out, proving the headlamp circuit is where the imbalance is.

The most likely side to look on is the driver's side, because of the battery's corrosive aura. Clean up the grounds. Here is the kind of thing I've found in the past with the fix:
