PARTS RECOMENDATIONS 700 1992

My 1992 745T with 285k blew out the expansion tank hose where the small hose feeds the turbo cooling jacket. Fortunatly this happened after the engine had been shut off and was parked. I repaced this hose and all the others 4 years ago along with the radiator as preventative maintanence and now I am wondering if I should have left things alone. The hose I removed was original, 13 years old. The new one failed in only 4 years. The only difference I know of is that the original was a volvo part, and the replacement was an aftermarket. So can someone tell me if the aftermarket parts are inferior to the original parts, or did I just happen to get a bad part? Any suggestions for a volvo parts supplier that has reasonable prices?

Mark 1992 745T, 285k, somewhere west of Portland, Me.
