740 GL - NO START/INJECTORS PUMPING TOO MUCH FUEL? 700 1990

Open the oil filler and observe the cam while cranking-- if it doesn't turn, you need a timing belt, which is no big deal because it is a non-interference engine.

If the timing belt is sound, check the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator or swap out the power stage (ignition amplifier).

I have personally had no-starts because of all three of these suggestions. I keep a spare power stage in my glove box along with a fuel system relay and a radio suppression relay.

Good luck!
