Problem with new in-tank pump 200 1984

Thanks, but know I just put that page up in July, when my #4 daughter was having tank pump headaches while touring Colorado and Wyoming.

You've opened up my eyes to the rust and tank contamination possibilities. I think with the most recent pump replacement, I've now been in the tank of all of our Volvos, and never seen anything sedimentary inside. I would think that is mostly luck, because my habit of keeping the tank fairly full has not always conveyed as good example followed.
