strut housing disaster 900

I installed a new KYB cart, rubber bushings and bellows in the strut housing and then hung it from from the 2 bearing mount nuts. As I was bolting ball joint to bottom of tube the bolt snapped off. Upon inspection the threads in the other hole were bad too. I knew they came out hard but the old bolt threads look fine so i never checked arm. I know there is no way it's coming out after a 3' bar was involved and then I still have 2 bad threads so it's time for the Men's Mall (boneyard)

I have a 1995 940 turbo wagon. Will any 740 or 940 strut tube work?

Thanks! Pete
