960 Brake Cables - how tough of a job? 900

This is a 1995 965, with the IRS.

The right brake cable is broken at the bracket where it connects to the left cable. I've read the FAQ section, and one guy mentioned that the job took him 7 hours.

I'm also concerned that I might not be able to remove the rotors. I recently had to replace a warped front rotor. It was rusted on, and I had to take the car to a shop, who said they had a very tough time removing it. If a rear rotors is rusted on, I'll probably have to take after it with a sledge hammer. This means damaged rotors, and hence their replacement.

From what I see, the center cable is much tougher to replace than the side cables. there's the fuel tanks, prop shaft, exhaust, heat shields, etc. CAn I just replace just the L & R cables, and leave the center cable in place?

So what am I really getting myself into here?

182k miles, and running fine, but this might be too big of a job.

Thanks!
