back off the nut and take the stud with it. then either cut the nut off with a dremel after securing the stud in your bench vise or pb blaster the nut with heat and loosen it with the secured stud in the bench vise.

a good way to keep the stud threads form being damaged by the vise is to place the stud between two small pieces of soft wood and then tighten the vise. the metal thread will dig into the soft wood without being damaged.
