25mm bars - endlinks 200

A while back I put IPD 25mm anti-sway bars on the front of my 88 240 sedan. I also put new Genuine Volvo (as in overpriced, from the Volvo dealership) endlinks on. Had to torque the sway bar down on the endlinks more than the Bentley book specifies, to keep them from clunking. Getting the new fat sway bar down on the stock endlinks resulted in the endlinks angling off at a weird angle...at the time I thought a shorter endlink would put the swaybar at a more "normal" looking angle, relative to the A-arm. So I'm wondering if an adjustable endlink would be a good idea. Has anyone else had this experience?
Plug for IPD: the car handles much better now...very flat when cornering.
