Dash Illumination Issue 900 1996

Hello Fellow Brickboarders,

I have put up a couple of posts about my dash illumination going out intermittently, and this morning when I left for work, they worked, but a couple of seconds later, they died again, and stayed out. When i got to work, I did a test. I turned the lights off at the headlight switch, cycled off the ignition, and then turned on the ignition, and activated the headlight switch again. They came back on. I also smelled a slight burning smell when I got out of the car. if ANYBODY with knowledge of the 960 wiring diagrams might have an idea what is going on, or have an IDEA as to where to point me in the right direction, PLEASE let me know. It concerns me, and I would rather not get a shop involved if I can avoid doing so. The first time this happened, the "light out" light came on as well, but has not activated since, if this is any help to you.
