Tire Size for 1984 240 Wagon? (speedometer seems off) 200 1984

The tire size is listed on the passengers side door on a silver sticker.

My 86 calls for a 185R14 on the door and that is a light truck tire. When I bought tires a few months back the offerings in that size were are low rated junk. There do seem to be better offerings at Tire Rack on that size now. Went with the BB recommended 195/75-14 instead.

I have an 86 with the electronic speedometer and the error on the speedometer is 4 mph at 70 mph. That is cross checking it against the iPhone GPS application. Checked the wife's Non-Volvo ride and the app matches that speedometer dead on so I trust the reading.

That is a 4-5% error but also explains why I never got a ticket running at 75 in the past.

Regards,

Paul
