Flasher switch problem 200

I think I might have found another clue to this no turn signal, no flashers deal.
I found that the toggle switch for the emergency flashers is missing parts as in I do not see how it could be working correctly. Could this keep my turn signals from working?

I tried jumping the wires that come into that switch hoping that I could simulate the 'normal' situation where the wires that are supposed to be connected for the turn signals to work but no flasher on, but the closest I can get is to get the idiot lights to light up.

These are the wires I see coming into that switch.

Blue/red
blue
white
yellow
green
green/white

I tried touching each wire with the blue/red, which I assume is power of some kind and I cannot remember which one it was but I could only get the idiot lights and a bell ringing.

Can anyone tell me what wires should be connected in the 'normal' hazard flashers OFF situation?

Is this flasher switch the same on all 240's and possibly other models?

Thanks very much,
Jim Lee
