Shoulder belts on a 145 140-160

My '72 145 had lap belts in the back seat. However the holes for the vertical rods were there, covered by rubber grommets. I pulled belts from a 90's 245 and installed them in the back seat. I only had to drill a couple of holes to accommodate the reels. I will be replacing the front belts also, although that requires drilling a hole in the transmission tunnel.

My '72 is probably an early one as most that I have seen had shoulder belts in the back. Check and see if your '71 has grommets covering the vertical rod holes. If they aren't there, it might be pretty tricky to get shoulder belts installed in a safe manner.
