tranny cross member procedure part 2 plus leak 92 240GL 200

Just got my tranny cross member from the west coast, looks brand new and clean for a used part. The part came with an old mount attached. So should I attach the new mount first to the cross member then line up under the car and attach to tranny or install the cross member first then worry about the mount? Also just noticed the tranny has a small leak at the rear tailshaft. How tricky is this to replace? Do I need to drain any fluid?Any special tools involved to install the seal and maybe the bushing?TIA
