Oxygen Sensor Feedback system _Dwell Angle 200

Hi Jon,

I need to admit here my abbreviated answer was only a stab at ensuring you knew we did not all agree with Bentley, and that I did not give your post the attention it deserves. I'm still kinda crunched for time, right now, while you are immersed in a technical challenge that seems like it would be fun and interesting to me.

Just as another attempt to be quickly helpful, maybe you will find my old analysis of the kjet controller useful. You may be one of only a few interested enough to critique its assertions. What I remember mostly is having the impression the dwell range had a number only based on the timing of its loop response, made to be centered, to react well to the extremely twitchy narrowband lambda sond, and anything in this range represented a mixture that was quite driveable -- the loop being in lock to zero in on that tight emissions-friendly range. My meter read in duty cycle (50%=45º) so I tend to think in those numbers instead of using the more automotive "dwell angle" terminology.

BTW, I read your freeze spray update. You actually replaced that expensive Hall-effect? And, ouch, it was affected just the same by the spray?? Great mystery. I never saw a "white cap" outside of the junkyard. It doesn't look friendly to getting access while running for a shot of spray.

Sorry about the short shrift.
