Ball & Socket worn out on throttle linkage, how to keep it put? 140-160 1969

Ah ha!! Bingo...I see it now. I had mistaken the hole for a smudge spot but I got a q-tip out and started wiping it down and discovered the holes you're talking about.

I took a paper clip to clean the dirt out and it fits pretty decently. I might use that for now till I can go to Home Depot or Lowe's to find something slightly bigger.

Thanks a ton Dave, I was thinking this was going to more involved. lol
