Thoughts on the 97 S90 S90-V90 1997

The price you stated seems pretty low, so there may be hidden problems.

Buy only if maintenance records are supplied, showing it's been cared for. Listen to the engine after a cold start - any ticking or knocking noises are not a good sign - these engines are supposed to run very quietly.

You will probably hear a rumbling/growling noise shortly after a cold start - this is the electric air pump injecting air into the exhaust to lower emissions and not anything to do with engine noise. It cycles on and off.

Make sure ALL the electrical stuff works, windows (from all their switches), seats, sunroof, antenna, and particularly the climate control system. Parts and service to fix these are costly. The automatic transmission is high quality (same one was used in some Lexus V8 models), but complex and should shift very smoothly.

If you get a good one at that $$$, it's a real find.
