Both pumps work & a description of my problem 200 1990

OK... performed the test:

Jumpered from #6 to the main pump side of #4. heard and felt the pump and heard the return fuel spraying into the tank.

Jumpered from #6 to the pre-pump side of #4. I did hear a slight whir from inside the tank and heard a little bit of dribbling fuel as well. Both pumps appear to be working.

My problem is an erratic loss of power. The car idles perfectly and always starts up. I'll be driving at 50 mph and I'll try to give it a little gas to get over a rise and it will lose power, the more I push on the pedal, the slower it goes. Almost feels like someone is pinching the fuel line.

I've done the tests as described in the thread and also replaced the AMM with a known good one a while back. I don't have equipment to test the fuel pressure. I suppose I could test the fuel pressure regulator easy enough or swap it with the FPR from my 940.

Any other thoughts????
