PCV Confusion 120-130

I'm trying to get the PCV on my 122s sorted out and something seems fishy.

When I bought the car, there was a hose running from the oil filler cap to the front carb filter plate. The plates were some rusted chintzy ovals, and had some round filters jury rigged on there. I recently installed a pair of K&N filters, which is how I started poking around with the system in the first place.

The engine is, from what I was told, the original B18. Mileage is approx 81k. Apart from some less-than stellar fuel mileage, it actually runs very well. Starts easily, idles fine, goes down the road nicely.

At idle, I get positive pressure (not suction, as indicated in the b18 diagram on Ron's site) from the nipple on top of the oil filter cap. The line from the teardrop shaped thingamajigger bolted to the right side of the block tees off to two lines: one running to the brake servo, the other running to a nipple on the intake manifold.

If I disconnect the intake manifold line at the tee, I get quite a bit of vacuum on the manifold side. If I don't quickly plug the intake manifold line with a finger, the RPM goes up considerably. The other side of the tee (to the engine block and servo) seems to have little if any flow in either direction.

This seems contrary to most of the diagrams I've seen. It seems as though I'm getting the necessary suction from the block to the intake manifold, but getting positive pressure and not vacuum at the oil filler port.

Any tips to help me get straightened out?
