Weird, perplexing problem: My 16v. 740gle "lopes" at between about 1500 rpm to 2200. Starts and idles normally and runs well over about 2200 rpm. Uneven running is accompanied by a fluctuation in timing of several degrees. Also, the tach needle suddenly drops when speed is increased to near 2000 rpm when "loping" starts. Needle jumps up to normal at higher speeds (about 2200 rpms). Have changed out the MAF and crank sensor, throttle switch, and ECU... with no change.
