Back lights Easy to fix 200 1991

First Check fuse 12 and make sure it is clean and has good contacts. There is a Blue Yellow wire that goes to a connector and that has to have 12 volts on it. That goes through the stick shift switch on the Yellow wire. When you put the car in reverse you close the switch and 12 volts goes out on the Black wire. The black wire heads off the back of the car to light them up.

If the switch is open, you just have the take the two little screws in the very front of the shifter console off. Pull the cover towards the back seat and lift up you do not have to remove it. Just twist it to the side and you can get to everything. There on the passengers side is a large triangle shaped switch. It is held into place by two screws, and then you lift it up and forward to remove. The Yellow Black wires are the reverse light and they connect to a plug over on the drivers side of the center console near the bottom.

Called the Neutral Position switch and you can get it from FCP for 20 something dollars. Be sure and adjust the switch so the car starts when the car is in Part by sliding the switch back and forth in the slots where the screws are.

Not hard to do at all.

Regards,

Paul
