Wiring Problem 200

86 240 wagon 2nd owner since 2003, great car 220k miles
left turn signal indicator was stuck lit up even after removing relay, removing both left turn bulbs, and disconnecting turn signal switch/stalk. It killed the battery. Today I jump the car off and began the hunt for a short??? With front turn bulb in and rear turn bulb out, I get a quicky flqashing from front signal. With rear bulb in the same problem continues...problem getting solved??? I chked around rear left turn signal light...when I removed a wire (orange) the light went out and the stuck indicator light went out. This wire goes into a harness and travels forward on drivers side of car. I wiggled the harness while indicator light was stuck on and noticed the indicator light flickered. Maybe a short with wires inside the harness??? The car has rust under drivers floor with wiring harness exposed but no sign of trouble. Any help would be appreciated. Jeff
