740 wagon locks doors on its own 700

Longtime 91 740 turbo wagon owner: Yesterday I had engine running, stepped outside, closed door, approx 1 minute later tried to re-enter vehicle, when I squeezed out side door handle, the doors all locked! Had to call home for extra key to unlock me. Any ideas? I am afraid this will happen again...
