Engine Mount replacement 200 1993

My new engine mount (drivers sides) just arrived and I'm about to tackle it this weekend. The procedure looks straight forward. My only question to those who have accomplished this before is where did you support the engine whilst the mount was off? I'm thinking of using a piece of 1/2" ply on top of my 3 ton floor jack to support the engine under the oil pan. Will the pan take the weight or should I look for another support point under the engine. Thanks in advance.
