The Monroe Gas Matics are on sale today at SEARS only for $10.99.
May not be Sachs or Bilstein, but I tried a pair about 2 years ago on a 745 (since sold) and they performed very well. They went at least 10000 miles (not much of a test I admit).
I'm pretty critical on shock performance, and I did not test them under rallye conditions, but they certainly were fine under loaded conditions and had what I felt were near perfect compression/rebound ratios.
Typically twice the price (which I would not pay).
Probably not in stock, mine have been special ordered..........
